How to vote in Verona

Election Day is Tuesday, November 3, 2026. Here are the dates, the three ways to cast your ballot, and where to check your registration. When you get your ballot, look for Column 1F — Jason Woods.

Dates to remember

  1. October 13, 2026

    Voter registration deadline

    Last day to register to vote in the general election. The Verona Township Clerk's office can take your registration, or you can register online at vote.nj.gov.

  2. October 24 – November 1, 2026

    In-person early voting

    Vote on a machine at any early voting site in Essex County, no matter where in the county you live. Hours are Monday–Saturday 10:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m. and Sunday 10:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.

  3. October 27, 2026

    Deadline to request a mail-in ballot by mail

    Applications must reach the Essex County Clerk by this date. You can still apply in person at the County Clerk's office until 3:00 p.m. on November 2.

  4. November 3, 2026

    Election Day

    Polls are open 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Mail-in ballots must be postmarked by 8:00 p.m., dropped in a county drop box by 8:00 p.m., or hand-delivered to the Board of Elections by 8:00 p.m.

Three ways to vote

Vote by mail

Any registered voter can request a mail-in ballot. Return it by mail, in a secure Essex County drop box, or in person at the Board of Elections.

Vote early, in person

Between October 24 and November 1 you can vote at any early voting location in Essex County — no appointment needed.

Vote on Election Day

Vote at your assigned Verona polling place between 6:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. on November 3. Look up your polling place at vote.nj.gov.
