Community Candidate Forum
Join Us for an Evening of Civic Engagement!
I’m pleased to share that the Junior Women’s Club of Verona and the League of Women Voters of the Montclair Area will be hosting a non‑partisan Verona Township Council Candidates’ Forum on October 20, 2026 at 7:00 PM at the Verona Community Center.
The League of Women Voters, a long‑standing grassroots civic organization, will moderate the event and gather questions from the public in advance. This forum is designed to give residents an opportunity to hear directly from all candidates, learn more about the issues facing Verona, and engage in an open, informed conversation about our community’s future.
I have confirmed my participation and look forward to attending. I appreciate the work these organizations put into creating spaces for thoughtful dialogue, and I welcome the chance to listen to residents’ questions and perspectives.
Events like this strengthen civic engagement by connecting residents with the people seeking to serve in local government, encouraging informed participation in community decision‑making, and providing transparency around public issues and priorities.
The organizers have emphasized that this forum is strictly non‑partisan and open to all. Their commitment to accessible, community‑centered dialogue is something I deeply respect.
I encourage all Verona residents to join us. Your questions, your concerns, and your ideas help shape the conversations that matter most in our town. Whether you’ve attended many civic events or this would be your first, your presence contributes to a stronger, more informed community.
If you have questions you’d like considered for the forum, the League of Women Voters is accepting submissions in advance.
I look forward to seeing many of you there and participating in this important community event.
